That includes a link labeled “Static IP”, which links to a folder with .ovpn files with static IP addresses. I assume those are fixed addresses for their routers.
I did successfully set up an additional OpenVPN client for one of those addresses, and was able to use it from pfSense. However, my external address became the shared, fixed IP, not my assigned IP. Also, I created an OpenVPN server for remote access using the new interface, but the client was unable to use the OpenVPN client file to make a connection. The error was reported as unknown.
I had previously tried to use the PIA dedicated IP as virtual IP/32, and set up an OpenVPN client with that using the WAN interface (I couldn’t use the PIA client interface). The client wouldn’t connect with that either.

I use PIA as a VPN service and have successfully set up the service as an OpenVPN client in pfSense and have also set up a remote client server with OpenVPN. I recently subscribed to a relatively new PIA service, a “dedicated IP”. I have only an IP address assigned by PIA and no other information, such as a gateway. My cable modem is the only physical point of connection with the internet. I have two WAN addresses, the DHCP address assigned by the Xfinity and the address assigned by the PIA servers. Both addresses can change. I’d like to be able to use the new, dedicated IP address as a stable WAN address. I tried setting the dedicated IP up as another OpenVPN client, but that didn’t work. Can anyone suggest how to go about this?
