Hi! In regards to three dresses I purchased from Nordswear. I will not waste my money again. Not only did it take over a month to get to me, it doesn’t even look like the same dresses I paid money for. This is false advertising & it’s not worth supposedly getting two for the prize of one. That’s a joke. I would not recommend them & you DO NOT get what you pay for. I have pictures to prove it. I wanted 3/4 sleeves as well. Cheap version of dresses.

I ordered clothing back in December

I ordered clothing back in December, never received anything from them. Got a fake shipping receipt and when I checked it said order was shipped and supposedly I didn’t pick up from UPS. Why would I pick anything up from UPS when I provided a specific delivery address. They should be reported to states AG and any consumer reporting agency that can put a stop to these fraudulent companies. Don’t order anything from them their name is fake and they definitely don’t deliver any products you pay for.

My coat arrived very quickly but was about two sizes smaller than expected. They definitely run small.
I emailed the company asking for the return procedure after sending a photo of the coat plus tags.
The return process was only explained after several more emails.
The return address is in Italy so I’m wondering just how legit this firm are?
After reading other reviews it would appear to be a cunning way to trick people into cutting their losses.
Avoid at all costs.

ZERO stars – Liars and Cheaters – DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

This is really a ZERO stars but it won’t let me do that. TheNordStore insisted that I return $158 jacket to ITALY – UPS quoted me almost $300! TheNordStore wouldn’t discuss any other option. My attorney’s letter to TheNordStore’s NY mailing address (posted on their website) was returned “no such address”. Who needs/wants to do business with a company that lies, cheats and has no respect for their customers. Share this as much as you can!

This vendor is scamming customers

This vendor is scamming customers. From the time I ordered a trench coat until the time the “windbreaker” arrived, winter was over. Based on other customer reviews the only one who answers complaints is Gizelle. Merchandise is definitely shoddy. No return process. Facebook should block this vendor.

I ordered some items back in November of 2022, received a small box, that I had to pick up from the post office, that I ended up not accepting, because it was not the correct order. They assured me that they would reship the items. I canceled the order in January and have still not received my full refund. And I wrote at least 20 emails, I will continue to email them everyday until they give me my refund. Wish I can give them a 0

BEWARE- NO RETURNS – FALSE CLAIMS

BEWARE – I ordered a sweater from NORD that was made of poor material and needed to be returned. I emailed them within 7 days of receiving the item to start a return but never heard from them. I tried calling them but it went to a recorded message that all their operators were helping other customers and then they just hung up on me. The website says you can Chat by clicking the Messenger button on the bottom right of the webpage but there is NO button. Amazing. Please do NOT purchase anything from this site.

Horrible quality of items

Horrible quality of items, customer service is poor, sizing chart is not US sizing. Company is overseas in Italy. If you need to return an item then you must ship it back to Italy AT YOUR EXPENSE. Minimum cost for shipping from US to Italy is $20 for 1 pound.

Although I missed the timeframe of 7 days to return due to unexpected travel out of town, they would not consider exchanging for a smaller size. The jacket was HUGE. I didn’t anticipate a need for a smaller size and frankly didn’t think about this package being sent to that address. I understand no returns but an EXCHANGE. The material feels plastic. I would never order from them again.

Coat was delivered quickly, courier at home. The coat is really heavy, impression of quality things, hope, and to wear. Dense, different . a little shiny. I ordered a black, is fully consistent with the image, absolutely identical. The parameters: height 160, shoulder 38, OG 87 from 61 approximately 87 L village as oversize. But of Shoulder and the length of the size sleeve. If someone has more broad shoulders than me, then this could have problems even at a rate of L.

SCAM SCAM SCAM DONT BUY FROM THEM

All the reviews about this HORRIBLE group called the Nord store which copied Nordstroms ads and refused any real customer action are sadly true. After waiting a month for the raincoats, which I have now learned are bad quality, I cancelled my order but unfortunately then received it. My credit card company instructed me not to open the package and I requested a return label but being a bad SCAM company they are just telling me to return to Italy. Also, the package arrived damaged in addition to the lateness. I have been cheated and hope this company stops cheating people.

I cant even begin to tell you how difficult returns are -most ridiculous thing I ever encountered. Coat is of poor quality and dress I ordered is so small that my 17 granddaughter cant even wear it!
Like others, I have given up on returning my items. Paying for return postage to Italy or china or wherever is just dumb in the day and age of online shopping. Dont be taken it.

A scam impersonating NordVPN you need to know about

NordVPN’s security team has been made aware of a scam website that has been impersonating our company in an effort to infect victims with malware. While they work on taking the site down, we’d like to help users stay secure by explaining what’s going on.

A scam impersonating NordVPN you need to know about

  • How the scam works
  • What we’re doing to fight this scam
  • How to protect yourself from similar scams
  • What NordVPN representatives WON’T do
  • How to contact an official NordVPN representative
  • How to check whether NordVPN’s website is legit
  • How to make sure your NordVPN app is legit

How the scam works

The scammers have built a replica of our site on the url nord-vpn[.]club (we’ve inserted the brackets to avoid posting the actual URL). This is not a legitimate URL and we do not use it to conduct business.

The site offers a download of what it claims is our Windows app. In addition to the app, however, users will also be downloading a virus – specifically, the “Win32.Bolik.2 trojan” virus.

“Using this malware, hackers can perform web injections, traffic intercepts, keylogging and steal information from different bank-client systems.” – These insights are from Dr. Web, the team of anti-virus developers who first reported the scam (thank you for your vigilance!).

This means that the virus can monitor virtually anything you do online and steal your online banking information. Under no circumstances should users download the app from this site or even visit it.

What we’re doing to fight this scam

Our team has already taken a few specific steps to eliminate this scam:

  • We are working to get it taken offline. Unfortunately, we aren’t sure when the site will be taken offline because it doesn’t depend entirely on us. However, we’ve already begun the process. In fact, the initial version has been taken down and our team is now monitoring the situation just in case it pops up again.
  • The site has been blacklisted by our Threat Protection feature. NordVPN users who turn on our optional Threat Protection feature will be unable to visit the site in question. Threat Protection works by blacklisting malicious websites and preventing users from visiting them when users turn it on. Because this change was implemented relatively recently, it may take a few hours for our Threat Protection blacklist to be updated globally for all of our users.

If you don’t already have NordVPN, you can download the app here to better protect yourself against malicious websites.

Update (September 10th): This site has been taken down and our security team is on the lookout for other versions. However, we can’t guarantee that these or other scammers won’t try the same attack in the future. Therefore, read on to learn how to identify and protect yourself from these attacks.

How to protect yourself from similar scams

It’s easy to tell if you’re on NordVPN’s legitimate website. Here’s our real url: https://nordvpn.com

The fake NordVPN URL

Here’s the fake scam URL:

Our blog has tons of advice on how to identify scams so you don’t become a victim. However, here are some specific tips for this case:

  • Always check the URL. Any user who always checks the URL of the website they’re on will be far more likely to see right through this scam. The URL has been carefully selected to resemble ours, but it’s not. The only time we don’t conduct business on a URL based on nordvpn.com is in countries that block our core website. We use other legitimate URLs in those countries so users can download our apps. If you’re not sure whether the website you’re on is a legitimate NordVPN website, contact our support team.
  • HTTPS ensures a basic level of security, but not legitimacy. HTTP sites are less secure and can often be a telltale sign of a scam. These scammers, however, have HTTPS enabled on their site, which provides a basic level of encryption and can fool victims into a false sense of security. Fortunately, the HTTPS certificate is not the same as the one on NordVPN’s website. You can click on the lock icon next to the URL when browsing our website to inspect our HTTPS certificate. We use an extended validation SSL certificate self-signed by Tefincom S.A. Then, you can compare this to the certificate of any website that claims to represent us but has a questionable URL. They won’t be the same.

What NordVPN representatives WON’T do:

1. NordVPN representatives will never ask for your password.

If someone posing as a NordVPN representative tries to find out your password, they are probably scammers. You should never disclose it to anyone. Also, be aware of fake password change emails. This is a more advanced type of scamming that makes you change your password on a malicious website (usually designed to look like our website). The scammer operating the website sees your password and uses it for their purposes.

You can use your email to log into your account on NordVPN’s website to do the following:

  • Get special deals and offers
  • Change your password
  • Change your payment method
  • Update your credit card info
  • Cancel your auto-payment
  • Extend your (manual) subscription

At this point, it would also be smart to familiarize yourself with other common scams so you can stay safe.

2. NordVPN won’t send you to the wrong website.

Scammers use websites that look like NordVPN’s to scam our users.

The core part of NordVPN’s webpage URL will always be https://nordvpn.com/.

The only exception to this rule will be for users buying NordVPN in countries that block our core website. Users in those countries may be provided with other legitimate URLs where they can purchase official NordVPN subscriptions. If you’re not sure whether the website you’re seeing is a legitimate NordVPN website, contact our support team.

3. NordVPN does not make phone calls.

NordVPN’s official means of communication are email, the support chat on our website, our official Twitter (@NordVPN), or our official Facebook page. NordVPN does not call people by phone and our representatives do not use private social media accounts to contact users. Do not trust connections outside of these communication tools.

4. NordVPN won’t use sketchy email addresses.

NordVPN official email ends with @nordvpn.com and sometimes @nordvpnmedia.com or @nordvpnbusiness.com. We do not send emails from addresses like [email protected] or [email protected].

email warning signs

Moreover, faking a legitimate address is easy, too. Hackers can use readily available online tools like http://deadfake.com/ or http://anonymailer.net. More sophisticated scammers can fake an address by using Unix or PHP command lines. Below is an example of a fake NordVPN email I created with Anonymailer. As you see, Gmail service warns you that the email is suspicious, and so will most other dependable email providers. Always look for similar warning signs and ignore emails if they trip these warnings.

The look of the email can also be easily faked by using various photo editing tools. As a result, you might get an email that looks totally legit to the naked eye. To avoid gettings fooled, always check whether the link in an email redirects to a legitimate NordVPN website with a URL starting with https://nordvpn.com/. Do not trust any other suspicious links, even if they might look very similar to a legitimate one.

Nordvpn scam email

Take a look at another couple of examples. In the first one, we see a dodgy email address never used by NordVPN employees. It is an obvious scam email.

Nordvpn legit email

Here is a legitimate email. You might get this one if you forgot your password:

Wonder where scammers got your email from? It’s easy for scammers to get your email address from any one of the hundreds of massive breaches that happen every year. You can check whether your email has been leaked here.

How to contact an official NordVPN representative:

  • Our contact page
  • Our Facebook
  • Our Twitter

How to check whether NordVPN’s website is legit

  • Check the URL. If a URL contains anything but https://nordvpn.com/ (or https://nordvpn.org/), it can be a fake site scam. Look for grammar mistakes in the domain name or suspicious extensions like .tech or .biz.
  • Make sure that the website has a padlock next to the URL. If there’s no padlock symbol, you will receive a warning from your browser that the website is not secure.
  • Look up the domain age. You can see how old the domain is and check where it’s registered. If you discover that a website was created only a couple of days ago, report such scams immediately.
  • Check for any grammar mistakes. If you are already on a suspicious site, inspect it for grammar mistakes, flashy ads, or poor design. Usually, hackers don’t invest too much time in polishing every sentence and illustration
  • Look for contact details. If you’ve encountered a fake site scam, it probably won’t have any contact details listed or will only include a generic email address.
  • Check if the website is known for hosting malware.Google’s transparency report allows you to enter a URL and see if the website is legitimate.
  • If you’re still suspicious. Having doubts and double-checking everything is a good digital habit to have. If you’re still not sure whether you have encountered a legitimate NordVPN website, just visit our company’s social media pages, where you will find a link to our website. Better safe than sorry.

How to make sure your NordVPN app is legit

NordVPN app store

  • Download it from your app store. If you simply search for “NordVPN” on your device’s app store, the first result is likely to be ours. This isn’t a perfect rule, as the Android and iOS app stores do have fake versions of our apps. However, our team regularly checks them for fakes and reports them. Our legitimate app will also have more downloads and reviews than any of these fake apps. This does not apply for the Windows or Linux apps, which are not offered on their regular app stores.
  • Download it from our website. This goes back to the “check the URL” rule. If you download a side-loaded version of the app or one for a platform whose app store we don’t use, make sure it’s from us. You can find our legitimate downloads here. Just keep in mind that there are lots of stolen NordVPN subscriptions or their trial versions being sold by third-parties on eBay and other sites. The prices, lower than NordVPN’s already affordable rates, are too good to be true: even the best VPN prices aren’t as low as these. If you buy a stolen account, you don’t actually own it, so you can easily be defrauded and there’s nothing you can do about it. Actually, no NordVPN is better than a fake NordVPN account crack.
  • Contact our support team via email. Users in restrictive countries may not be able to access our core website or their app stores. We offer many ways to contact support, but if you’re in doubt about whether the website you’re looking at is legit, your best bet is to contact us by email at [email protected]. They can provide you with a legitimate copy of the app of your choice or help you with checking the digital signature for any NordVPN apps you’ve downloaded.

Online security starts with a click.
