The entries in my billing statement from BDO ( Banco de Oro) Bank in the Philippines show double billing. The amount differed because of daily Forex changes.

Avast Software Avast Anti-Virus
For a year no billing issues with Avast until now. Paid about $50 for six months and Avast always send an invoice with details of what I was buying and for length of sevice. Last week they automatically billed my PayPal for $106 (double normal) and did not state what for or for how long. I did not place Avast on auto billing but somehow they made it possible. I do not pay anyone on auto bill ever. This almost overdraw my bank account and PayPal. I am done with them.
A few weeks ago I read a report they auto withdraw $10K on another person. Avast has gone rogue.

Your email about “not using Avast security for a while puzzels me. I recently paid for an Avast installation within the past year and now I got your email saying I haven’t used it for a while. I use it EVERY day and now with your recent email I uninstalled the old program and installed the new Avast program thinking that it is an upgraded version and your email also sent the activation code. I just paid for this subscription again with my American Express card. What’s going on guys? Are you guys trying to screw me over with some kind of double billing? I would like some kind of answer. Maybe your records are screwed up. How can you say I have’t used Avast for a while when the first thing I do EVERY DAY WHEN I START UP MY MAC IS TO RUN THE AVAST PREMIUM PROGRAM AND GO THROUGH THE UPDATES, VIRUS SCANS AND CLEANING.
Please check your billing / payment records and give me a status on my AVAST subscription.

Purchased Avast driver updater but because I either did not get the verification number or somehow lost it I have a program I can not use. otherwise the virus protector works well. your numbers are not working numbers..how can I reach and get my verification number. I will not buy again next year due to unable to reach you and a program I needed but cannot use. annoying!

Like others, I am being charged for Dri Avast Software multiple times and intend to report this to Better Business Bureau and the Sheriff’s Department. If I do not get this resolved to my satisfaction I most certainly will have my attorney investigate the matter.

I do not recommend the Avast program. Customer service is the worst. I cancelled Avast Cleanup premium before the 60 day trial ended and they have charged me 3 times; eventhough
they send me and email confirming that the automatic renewal was off.

After an Avast update, I got up messages “you are not protected” and “this is really embarassing..Avast failed to load.” I tried to reload and it wouldn’t work. I tried rebooting and it wouldn’t work. I called 844.340.9251 and got someone somewhere who was TOTALLY USELESS. He had no clue what I was talking about and babbled jibberish about what I could try. I told him he was useless and hung up. WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS KIND OF NON-SUPPORT LISTED? I ended up Googling the problem, then tried “repair” with a reboot and that worked. Lots of trouble for no good reason.

Cancelled service 3 years ago. Was debited for it last year. refunded, and was assured it was cancelled. Was debited again this week without authorization.
The “floor manager” at the customer service ph # says the only way to get my money back is to allow him to log onto my computer. This is not the computer on which I had service.
This is theft. Considering prosecution. is it worth it for my $64.19?

You charged my credit card for a product that I did NOT order. I have tried for several months to get my card credited with no luck! I talk with your technical department and am told billing does not have a contact phone number. I have been given a ticket number and told I would receive an email. this happens each time I call but I STILL have had no contact from avast. I think its time for some legal action to be taken with this shameful company.

I have used avast free for the past few years and cancelled this spring, low and behold your attempt to keep this customer cost me around 50.00 taken from my account. your rec ords should show I have not had your free version o0r a paid version since May of this year and your still charging me. last week Avast automatically renewed my subscription for a year for $63.59 without my permission. I didn’t want to renew as the issues i had with my PC were continuously happpening. I took out the added Avast security hoping that it would solve my problems but it didn’t. I contacted paypal to put in a complaint at their resolution center.After a week of investigating they said they are refunding my $63.59. Today I received and email explaining to me after further investigating I am to return the money to my paypal account. I DIDN’T WANT TO RENEW! I am not returning the $63.59 as I explained to you just now.
